Situated at the foot of the Hohneck mountain Xonrupt-Gerardmer (altitude 715m) is a small village typical of the Vosges and the Lake Valley area. The village is located 4km away from Gerardmer a lively winter sports resort with an established reputation as a health destination.

The Vosges region is a place with many open spaces and a rich cultural heritage. It is also known for its lakes with Gerardmer as the widest (115ha). La Bresse is the main resort there, where downhill and cross-country skiing can be pratised at an altitude of 1365m. On a traditional point of view, you will be delighted to find out about pottery, granite carving (stone clocks), wood carving (clog making) and weaving... the Vosges region is also known for its gastronomy : trouts, cheeses, honey, blueberries and smoked meats.
