Located at the crossroads of the Auvergne and Sancy mountain ranges, La Bourboule is a well known spa centre which boasts picturesque views over the Dordogne river. CHILDREN The "Les Gribouilles" nursery offers chilcare to children aged between 2 months and 4 years, and a leisure centre in the resort offers activities for children aged between 4 and 12 years (open during school holidays only).
OTHER ACTIVITIES Thanks to the resorts links with the Super Besse/Le Mont-Dore ski area, skiers in La Bourboule are just 10km from 85km of great downhill skiing opportunities.
Cross country skiing : length of cross country track 250 Km The La Bourboule-Charlannes area offers 66km of cross-country trails, accessible by gondola or road from the centre of La Bourboule (8km). The resort also offers a link to the 310km of trails that make up part of the Sancy Ouest cross-country area.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION La Bourboule is easily reached by rail, with the closest train station located within the resort itself. The Mont-Dore/ Super Bress offers skiers 85km of slopes, 41 ski lifts, 140 snow canons and a wide range of runs suitable for all abilities (20 green, 18 blue, 16 red, 4 black). The domain also has a snowpark.
