CHILDREN
The "Les Marmots" nursery, located in the Roche-Beranger area of Chamrousse, offers childcare to children aged between 3 months and 6 years and the resort also offers a leisure centre for children aged between 3 months and 12 years.
For first-time or fledging skiers, the ESF French Ski School offers lessons for younger children aged between 3 and 6 years in the "Club des Oursons", located in both the Recoin and Roche-Beranger areas of Chamrousse.

Cross country skiing : length of cross country track 41 Km
For skiers who prefer to venture off the beatne track, Chamrousse offers 41km of cross-country slopes divided into 9 different trails suitable for skiers of all abilities which meander through the forest of the Arselle Plateau.
Access to these trails requires a payable weekly ski pass.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Chamrousse is accessible by coach or taxi transfer from Grenoble train station (30km), Grenoble/St-Geoirs airport (60km), Lyon/St-Exupery airport (95km) or Geneva airport (130km). Chamrousse is a well-equipped resort with all nescessary amenities, including a doctors and pharmacy, service station, cash machines and a laundrette, as well as a range of bars and resturants and local shops.

Le Vercors is a high forested plateau, ideal for mountain and nature lovers. The best sites are the Bourne gorges, Choranche caves, Rousset mountain pass and the scenic route of les Goulets. For those interested in gastronomy, visiting the Caves of Chartreuse, cheese farms (blue cheese and Saint-Marcellin) and the "ravioles" (small raviolis) factories is highly reccomended.
Le Vercors has also 320km of cross-country ski trails for visitors to explore, including the famous "Traversee du Vercors" (Trans-Vercors Trail).
