Brittany is a country in its own right with coasts made of sharp rocks against which the sea crashes violently, and desolate islands with birds and winds as their only masters. Brittany is also a land of magic, of druids a hundred years old, where the 'Cervoise' (local beer) is poured generously. Tourists will be drawn to Brittany's well preserved environment, as this is a place with wonderful landscapes shaped by winds and tides, and narrow paths to walk along and allow your mind to relax and wander as you take in the landscape.
Visitors with a keen interest in history will be pleased to note that Brittany's many celtic remains have stood the test of time and can still be found throughout the region today. Its people are warm and welcoming and have retained an impressive passion for folklore and the respect for traditions that is evident amongst Bretons of all ages across the region.
For truely indulgent holiday food, visitors can be tempted by a whole range of cakes, biscuits and 'ble noir' pancakes served with local ciders.
From Saint-Malo to Carnac, Brittany is a crown with many jewels for you to discover.

Le Golfe du Morbihan is "a magical place where sea, earth and sky merge into ever changing landscapes". In Breton, Mor means sea and Bihan means small, and the Golfe is really a small inland sea with more than 1200ha sheltered from the ocean waves. The site is exceptional and counts 42 small islands which make one of the nicest bays in the world. Boats leave for Belle Ile en Mer where many painters like Matisse and Monet got their inspiration from the sheer beauty and diversity of its landscape. You too can come and see for yourself the hilly coast of the Golfe bordered by golden sandy beaches as well as the steep and rocky Cote Sauvage, and hear the breaking of the waves. The Ile aux Moines (Monks Island) is also called the pearl of the Gulf and is well worth visiting by bicycle...
