CHILDREN The four villages that make up the wider Courchevel resort offer excellent facilities for children: The ESF French Ski School "Piou-Piou" snow nursery in Courchevel 1550 welcomes children aged between 3 and 5 years, and the "Les Pitchounets" kindergarten in Courchevel 1650 offers childcare and ski tuition to children aged between 18 months and 12 years, with the "Les Oursons" snow nursery offering an introduction to skiing for smaller children aged 3 to 5 years. The "Le Village des Enfants" in Courchevel 1850 offers childcare for very young children from 18 months, and also offers ski lessons to children aged between 3 and 12 years,
OTHER ACTIVITIES As part of the world-renowned Three Valleys ski area, Courchevel offers skiers the chance to explore an impressive 600km of slopes. If this sounds like too big a challenge for one week, the immediate Courchevel/La Tania ski area offers 150km of slopes as well as a snowpark for both skiers and snowboarders to make the most of during their Alpine getaway. 6-day lift passes can be purchased in-resort or in advance via the resort tourist office website.
Cross country skiing : length of cross country track 67 Km Cross-country enthusiasts and off-piste adventurers can make the most of Courchevel's 67km of cross-country trails, which are divided into 13 well-posted trails accross the four villages that make up the resort, as well as offering links to trails in Meribel and La Tania.
THE AREA Courchevel offers a wide range of entertainment, so skiers can relax and let their hair down after a long day on the slopes. The resort boasts cinemas, nightclubs, piano bars, a range of restaurants, and local shops.
